Yesterday morning I got my camera and jumped in the truck for play group. My plan was to get my last two shots that I needed and get them printed and submit my stuff for the fair. Ya, to late. The deadline was Thursday.
Man, I had some good shots. Oh well. Live and learn. I know that if I commit myself next year I'll be sure to double check the deadline. After browsing at the entries this afternoon I realize that there were some categories that I had a very good shot at.
Another part of me has already decided that its not worth my time & energy, amongst other things. But its a whole year away so I may change my mind.
In the meantime the album I created for my Facebook profile that I had a couple of my close friends help pick shots has been deleted and next year is another year.
I'm still disappointed in myself, more so for not reading the rules a little earlier.
Did you not find it very disorganized in there this year? It was so hard to tell which photo's placed 1st,2nd,3rd in each category. Some of them I never did find out which ones placed.
ReplyDeleteThe categories that didn't place were everywhere which was a little hard to compare. Oh well, to be expected from a small town I suppose.
ReplyDeleteSome years they are really good with keeping them organized but this year they were not. I guess it just depends who's looking after it. There were a LOT of pictures this year!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree June. I'm not sure why they separated all the photos and didn't keep them all with the categories they were in. Easier to make comparisons.
ReplyDeleteI also thought there were more this year but Cade didn't think so.
I didn't agree with some of the winners either. But everyone's opinion is different.
Ya me either, but it's all up to the person judging. Scott and I were wondering who does the judging anyway? Oh well. Another year done.
