HOCKEY, HOCKEY and MORE HOCKEY

We had a busy weekend. Saturday morning we were in Souris, MB. LM played out and had a great game. Didn't start so good when Dad decided to put him on defence and he refused to get off the bench to play but once he was moved back to a forward position we were good to go. 3 goals and an assist!

Sunday morning we were in Holland, MB. Guess what, there's a MB statue there! LM was scheduled for 3 games in net. DH & I decided the Thursday before to give LM his new glove and blocker that he was supposed to get for Christmas (this is set number 2 because set number 3 was way to big) so that he had functional equipment for his day.

I was a nervous wreck! I did okay I think and the parents were wonderful. We won all 3 games, first one the other team put some pressure on our boys and they did great. What a team they are. Second game the pressure was a applied hard. We won 6-4. At one point one of the kids on the team skated up to LM after we were scored on and told him he sucked! Luckily for the little shit I didn't hear him. It was dealt with swiftly by the coach (not DH). Some kids are just ignorant! Our third game the boys played very well, most of the play was in the other zone. LM made an awesome safe on a breakaway and ended up getting a shut-out! I was SO relieved when it was over. LM still wants to be a goalie.
