20 YEARS

20 years ago today DH & I started dated. On the night of the 19th (grade 12) I decided to head out to the bar with a good friend of mine - someone I'm still in contact with (we met in grade 10), Jarrett. When we got to Club Soda DH and his friend were there. DH and I had talked for a couple hours on the phone the past Summer and then I heard nothing from him. We to started going to the same high school together and while we knew who each other were, we didn't really talk. Anyways, when school started, DH just sorta disappeared. I found out that his Dad had passed away that September and well, he was trying to deal. Anyways, we have pretty much been inseperable since the night of December 19th, 1991. Of course besides 6 months when he was at Depot (he came home once for Easter long weekend) and then again for 6 weeks when he went off for ERT training in Ottawa! I believe our second date was an ice fishing trip on the Red River. Nothing has changed.

I wanted to post a photograph of us taken about 6 months after we started dating but he wouldn't let me.

We have been through some tough, tough times these past 2 years but we have proved once again that our bond/love for each other and our kids and the life we have made together is indestructable.

Here's to 20 more years.
