So, I did what I set out to do and did some Christmas baking. First on the list, Butterscotch slice. I had it all packed up and ready for the freezer. Went to my fitness class this AM after I dropped LM off at school and then headed straight to the school for the day. When I got home it was half empty. DH blamed the LP but she don't like peanut butter so... Guess I'll be making those again.
My second treat on the list was Key Lime Tarts. Every year I make DH lemon tarts. I was thrilled to find the mini-tarts on sale considering I also needed 8oz of cream cheese and two cans of condensed milk. This wasn't a cheap item. Long fricken' story short, the crap mix that I bought last Summer was stale and horrible tasting but we didn't realize it until the tarts were made, set and ready for the freezer. 24 of them went straight into the can. PMO.
So this weekend we are making chocolate mice and two new things I found online that I think might go over well here. And then I need to start making my Cherry Flips. I need 6 dozen just for the baking exchange, let alone what DH will consume or want to consume.
Enough of baking, my first class. Wow. This is what I needed for sure. Circuit training is what it is. Couple laps which you could walk or run (I'll let you guess what I picked) than an exercise. Instructor (LM's little coach) figures its a program that should be good for about 2 months or so and then it'll need to be tweaked for results. That's where my standstill was with the running. So in 2 months, her & I are going to meet and she's going to re-do my plan and I'll start again. So excited. I know I'm gonna be sore tomorrow but, no pain, no gain.
