SPRUCE WOODS

I have never been. Well, I shouldn't say that. We drove through it on our way to Killarney but we didn't stop to see anything. Dawn had always talked about taking the kids as she had gone when she was younger with school and said it was gorgeous.

So the K's planned their field trip there. CTP & I decided to tag along and check it out as we didn't think we would ever just go with the kids.

Its very nice. I know we only saw a small portion of it but wow. We started on the covered wagon ride. The horses freaked me right out at the start but we continued on anyways :0 We went for about an hour and made 2 stops. One at the sand dunes which the kids loved.

We loaded back onto the wagon and headed to the Punch Bowl. Now I'll need to research this more as the platform was small and I was trying to balance Makenna and take a photo at the same time and didn't get to read the information board. But it is nice.

The place is FULL of poison ivy. Its everywhere. We didn't see any wildlife except for the wild horses at the beginning of the tour. We had lunch, headed to a little marsh area where the kids got a quick tour and it was time to go. So the kids got ice cream and we headed back to Killarney. It was a beautiful day and I'm pretty sure they all had fun.
