KINDERGARTEN

I can't believe it, Colton has 5 more days of school left. Where the heck has the year gone?

I remember when Colton was little and he'd be grating on my last nerve and I'd say to myself, man I can't wait till this kid goes to school. Yep, I was eating those words.

The first day I cried like a baby. My baby was the responsibility of someone else. That's hard to take. I couldn't wait until the bus came around the corner and my boy got off the bus. Then he decided he wasn't take the bus home from school anymore, well, Momma was there picking him up before it was time to go.

I think the hardest part for me was the whole asthma thing. Would anyone watch him the way I did? Would they know the signs? We got through it. Yes, paranoid freak in the beginning. Hand sanitizer in his pencil box, no drinking from water fountains - germ collectors, I was beside myself. I eased up a little by years end but here comes Grade 1. All day, everyday!!! New teacher, more informing about asthma and coughing and all that stuff. What's a Mom to do?

Anyways, my baby boy is graduating on June 24th. I'll be crying like a baby again. I'm a little disappointed that no one can make it out but hey, all that matters is Mom, Dad & Makenna will be there.

Anyways, thank you April & Tristan, you did a wonderful job with Colton, you handled me well too! You guys are top shelf. Thank you for making the first year of school so special.
