One year ago today, around this time, we wheeled into Killarney. Redneck diesel truck hauling a almost full to capacity trailer - 1 dog, 12 cats, toys, bedding, TV, microwave, vacumn amongst other things. We had NO idea what to expect. We had a rough idea of what our house looked like, from photos.
It was bittersweet. We wanted SO badly to get out of Amaranth. Yes, we fought hard to stay there. Then new management starting making the stupidest comments, wasn't honest and Cade & I decided we weren't going down in that shit show. Anyways, Killarney it was and here we are.
Colton started school here. He loves it. He played his first year of hockey here, something he couldn't have done in Amaranth. Cade & I are making friends - although no one will ever compare to Dawn & Marty & Ed & Roberta. We don't go more than a day without talking. Life has been good to us here so far. We thought it would be different and it was, all for the better. A lot of things came into realization.
I love my house, I love the town, I love the opportunities. The people are friendly. Our Estate is amazing.
Our first year, its been a good one.
