I HATE WIND

Its windy where we live. Yes, we are in a development that is right by the highway and there is no windbreak. We were told that when we bought the house - we didn't see it, we just bought it and trusted the opinion of a friend on its appearance out of pictures. Last Summer the big joke was my patio umbrella on my roof. One of the neighbors phoned to tell me it was up there. I had NO clue.

Anyways, we've chased the trampoline around all last Summer. No big deal. Biggest thing was it hit the fire pit and knocked it down. Oh well.

This year has been another story. The day of Colton's party we found it upside down beside the garage - it was behind the garage. Then another afternoon it was upside down in the trees beside the garage. Sunday it moved behind the dog run. CTP puts cinder blocks on the legs to hold it down. Obviously its not enough weight.

Yesterday. Different story. I could hear the deck chairs sliding across the deck and yep they made it all the way back to the back door. Then I looked outside to check on the trampoline. It was gone. It must have gotten serious air. I don't know if it jumped the wood pile or piled into it. It skipped me mud road because I didn't see any evidence of where it touched down.

So I went outside and didn't see it at first. Here is a photo of me standing where it was to where it had gone.

I got closer to find it looked like this. It was on top of two trees so I headed to the garage to get the saw. On my way back I slipped on the mud and almost landed on my ass. Oh, I'm not a happy girl. I crawled under it and cut down two trees for fear they would go through the jump pad.

Alright so now I'm pissed right off. This year so far I have ordered a new pad (the blue pad around the springs) and a new round bar from the second upside down spill beside the garage. From this appearance it looks like I need two more round bars. So far.

That evening was loading the kids up to run to town and the boy announces, look at my trampoline on its side now!!! Are you freaking kidding me? Nope.

So later that evening CTP went out to check it out. Not good. We are going to wait until the wind stops so we can drag it back over here and access the damage. We're thinking of going brand new and scrapping the whole works but we aren't entirely sure yet. We still need to access the damage on how many shingles we lost, the eavestrough on the garage that was torn off and the one on the front that was blown off, both partially.

Have I ever told you before, I hate the effin' wind.
