Since hockey season has ended I've been trying to think of something to sign Colton up for. He told us during the winter that he really wanted to take golf lessons. So last weekend DH and his buddy headed over to the Killarney course. Colton REALLY wanted to go with them. So Wednesday afternoon after we picked Colton up from school we took him over to the pro shop and ordered him a set of junior golf clubs. Of course as my luck would have it, they didn't have a set of left-handed clubs and so they were kind enough to borrow him a set. He's been playing ever since. He shot a bag of balls that evening with his Dad at the course AND then came home and shot more balls into the back field. Then yesterday after school we went back to the pro-shop for some more balls. He scored 48 balls for $19.99 at The Bargain Shop. The kid was in heaven, lol.
So golf lessons start in June but they only last a month or so. So we asked him, do you want to try baseball this year or soccer again. He said "Mom, I like when the balls stay on the ground, I think I'll play soccer." So, soccer it is. This will be his last year of the poorly run scrimage games they have at the school grounds twice a week but its still an activity and he had a lot of fun which is all that matters.
So, for the Summer I will be a soccer Mom.
