BACKYARD RINK

Christmas Eve we finally got to skate on the rink. LM and one of our little neighbors tried it out first. I think they had a lot of fun. They were outside in hoodies - on Christmas Eve. Us parents sat inside and watchted them from the kitchen table sipping on Rum & Eggnogs. How ideal.

Then we let the LP loose. She was itching to get out there. I was hoping she wasn't like her Mom and would have some balance. She did great. Within a couple minutes she let go of the skate assist and has no problem getting up when she falls down. She's booting around out there.

DH & I agreed that we should have started doing this the first winter we were here and it will more than likely happen every winter from now on. LM has gotten so much use out of it. And the weather has just been perfect.
