NEW VACUUM

After years of talking about it, CTP & I have finally decided to take the plunge and buy a decent vacuum. I vacuum constantly. I have had 3 vacuums since we've lived in Killarney and more in the last 3 or 4 years. The cheaper ones lose suction right away.

It really got me thinking when last month the Asthma Society of Canada's newsletter came out and an article in it stated that they had certified the LG vacuum as one of their recommended products. I searched it on the internet and liked the sounds of it. Found a retailer in Manitoba to find out brand new they are $499.00. Not bad but not good when you know you can get them cheaper on Ebay. So I searched. Nada. So Dyson it is. I have decided on the DC28 Animal Upright for two reasons. Firstly it has more suction than the ball, it has Airmuscle Technology and it has a much longer cord. All in all its a better vacuum of the 3 Dyson's that are certified. I asked around and everyone that has one loves there. Except one family who returned their Dyson Ball because of the cord and the "strange" feeling when manuevering it.

So now, to find one on Ebay that I'm not outbid on at a price that I think is reasonable although I haven't watched to see what the final bids are going at. I know to buy knew its $699.00 so I'm figuring around the $300.00 - $350.00 mark on ebay. I'll just have to wait and see the next couple of days as these auctions end to see what the average is.

Maybe after this one I won't be buying a vacuum every year. Here's hoping. Or like the neighbors, exchanging it.
