WHERE DID YOU GO??

To most its like I've fallen off the face of the Earth. Somedays, I'd like to. I guess I'm just having one of those times when alone is better than companionship. Sad but true. I have decided that for now, I won't be posting to much private info on my blog. I need to change some of the settings first which means, by invitation only!! I haven't decided if I want to do that yet though because if you can't be open about what you have to say, why bother wasting time at all? And secondly, unlike some think about themselves, I surely don't have anything that important to hide/share that I think I need to be all locked up tight. A girl I met her through our local shop & swap said it best, I'm a heart on my sleeve kinda girl! So what have we been doing? Well, soccer is over. I enjoyed it, except the really hot days. Will I help out next year? Probably if they need help. Beats sitting on the sidelines bitching an complaining about what you think should be done. My littl reading streak has ended. Only because I am reading book that has a rough starting! The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I need to just do it but the break from the reading is nice too. To many better things to do in the Summer time. This weekend was fair weekend. My heart wasn't in it this year but I did enter some photos. I ended up with 2 3rds. I need to up the ante for next year. Last night at the fireworks display I got some EXCELLENT photos. So I have two categories ready already. My biggest feat was my pickled beets. Out of 9 entered jars, I placed 3rd. DH thought that was pretty good. I use his Grandmothers recipe. Very good, in my opinion. We had a great visit with my mother-in-law and DHs Aunt this week as well. And on another note, we sold our very first race sled. Kinda bittersweet. But financially, running two racing sleds is not a good idea and secondly, we want a sled we can ride whenever, not just race. So DH bought one today. Photos to follow. Im very excited to ride this winter and already have a friend lined up whom also rides but usually rides with the guys. It will be nice to get some girl riding in.
