I'm not sure where I find the time but I've been reading lots lately.
I needed to finish the 7th book in the Outlander Series - Echo in the Bone. I tried reading it last year when it came out but couldn't. One of the characters in the book bores me. So with the encouragment of my fellow wives I decided to try again AND omit the boring character. Not usually how I read a book but whatever works right? 821 pages later I was done. Thank goodness for hockey road trips and a hubby that drives again.
Then my cousin Melissa started reading the two books but Hilary Duff. I've had the first one for ages but never got around to it because I couldn't find a good eReader copy. She sent me those and then told me she had just finished The Hunger Games series. Another on my list to read. That and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. What to read next?
So I started The Hunger Games. At first I was a little freaked out. Children fighting to the death! WTH kind book is this! Anyways, I'm hooked now. I even took my eReader to school today to read during recess and lunch break, just in case I wasn't busy I could sneak a couple minutes in. So far, I'm hooked. I'm hoping to get another hour in before bed and hopefully finish book one.
I started bidding on the newest Sony eReader as well. Not sure why because there is nothing wrong with mine. I don't really need one. I'm kinda relieved I didn't win any of the auctions I had bid on. Maybe in the Summer time when we are traveling around and I need more space for books.
Rene - like I said tonight, I'm sure Y has read The Hunger Games. If you want to give them a try, let me know and i'll send them to you.
