Yesterday I had the pleasure of accompanying my favorite group of 7 & 8 year olds to Brandon. Our regular teacher wasn't available so I was accompanied by a retired member. DH and I have had the pleasure of meeting him on several ocassions around town and he is such a kind man. We even had a chance to speak briefly yesterday about DH's RTW and the process. I feel comfortable enough to express my concerns to this man and get an honest, unbiased opinion. I had a super day all around.
The movie was great. I wish LP had come with us because i think she would have enjoyed it and it would help her understand the whole Christmas thing better. Twice this week she advised me that she "hates Christmas". Yikes. What kid hates Christmas. Of course she doesn't mean it, she just doesn't understand.
Tonight we are heading off to our team Christmas party. DH has already designated me the DD! How nice. I should have told him it was my night as of the impending birthday that follows. Whatever, I'm just happy to see him out and about and hanging out with the other Dad's, teasing the Mom's. He really loves the whole coaching part and even said yesterday that if he has to miss the Canadians this year, so be it! Wow, he's giving up racing for hockey.
That being said he's being doing a lot of reading on the whole goalie thing. Its tough for me. I spend the whole game shaking llike a leaf. DH told me last week I'd better get over it because its not a phase. Next weekend we have a tournament and LM has been asked to play all 3 games between the pipes. I think I need to start medicating myself.
Anyways, I promised myself that I would do some major house cleaning today, catch up on laundry. Get downstairs for a good long run and I still need to make a salad for the party tonight!
