It appears that Colton has reached a period in his life where he is struggling to find his position in our wolf pack. He's aiming for alpha but he ain't gonna get there!! I'm not one of those people that are going to pretend that my children are perfect. I know that my kid isn't the only one out there liping me off, thinks he knows everything and whatever else these little darlings do to get us going.
Anyways, we implemented a system, thanks to the advice of my good friend Megan and it appears to be working for the most part. We've made this first one a little on the easier side to let him see, that its not hard to achieve his goal and as we progress, getting those stars will become harder and harder. Long story short, after every 10 stars earned, Colton gets to pick an activity. Be it mini-golf, a trip to see Tommy Turtle, a play at the park, a bike ride, whatever.
So on Sunday he got to 10 stars for the first time. He chose a night in the tent. So on Monday him & CTP set up the tent and slept in it. I didn't think they would last but they did. Colton marched in just after 10 this morning.
Here are their digs:
